About the Audio Files:

The audio files on the preceding page are in the now trendy MPEG Layer-3 (mp3) format and can be played directly from your computer with mpg123 (Linux, UNIX), Winamp (Windows), itunes (Macintosh) or with Microsoft's insidious Windows Media Player and the proper codec. Quicktime might get you to play it from your browser window. Do yourself a favor and save the file to the directory of your choice instead. Once it has downloaded play it using the software or hardware device you want to use.

Drug was recorded at 9001 Hwy 17 using three ADAT blackface recorders and a TASCAM mixing desk (model long since forgotten but presumed to still be owned by Randy Burk of Stout Studios in Oakland).

It was transferred two tracks at a time through the Weak Joe Optical Compressor into a Sound Blaster Live! Value card onto hard disk. The resulting tracks were manually synced up and mixed on the Windows 2000 computer with various audio applications.
